Onward Search helped Tweddle Group adopt AI at scale, transform creative workflows, and accelerate productivity through generative AI training.

The Challenge

Scaling AI integration & designing what doesn’t exist.

For original equipment manufacturers (OEMs), the creative work and product education doesn’t end with the sale. Since 1954, these companies have relied on Tweddle Group to help people understand how to use, maintain, and repair their products.

Trusted by brands like Nissan, Toyota and Bose, this global information solutions provider creates technical content, product videos, digital learning experiences, service portals and more. Their newest offering is AVA, an AI-powered “Advanced Vehicle Assistant” that OEMs can embed into a vehicle’s center console.

While Tweddle leveraged AI to create AVA, integrating the technology into creative workflows remained a challenge. Siloed experimentation had led to mixed results. Still, senior management saw AI’s potential, and needs were growing. Promoting AVA while supporting clients required the forward-thinking company to innovate further.

Many of their projects demanded imagery that didn’t yet exist—such as high-end visuals of generic vehicles, electric vehicle charging stations, and AVA embedded in consoles. Traditional photo shoots were costly and often out of budget, while sifting through stock libraries proved time-consuming and limited. Tweddle needed a way to meet these demands quickly, cost-effectively, and without sacrificing quality.

To address Tweddle’s challenges, Onward Search constructed a tailored, 4-workshop AI training program. Our lead instructor and delivery team began with an in-depth needs assessment to analyze the group’s AI objectives. Then, we adjusted the course content to meet their unique priorities.

The goal was to empower Tweddle’s teams to adopt AI tools like ChatGPT, MidJourney, and Runway for a range of creative applications, from concept development to quality control. Through a mix of interactive discussion and live demonstration, we explored prompting techniques to enhance writing, design and video efforts. Together, Tweddle’s teams uncovered how to bring their skills to AI work, integrate the technology into their workflows, and preserve human creativity while embracing innovation.

During the workshops, Tweddle’s team created concepts for clients in real-time, working while they learned. Beyond skill-building, Onward Search also equipped the team with workshop recordings, prompting guides, and cheat sheets to maintain and scale success. Within weeks, the organization was leveraging AI consistently across teams to produce client mockups, AVA banners, video voiceover work, quality checks and more—saving hours of time and thousands of production dollars.
