As part of our ongoing series of salary guides for digital marketing and creative professionals, Onward Search released our list of the “10 Hottest Digital Creative Jobs,” built as an infographic displaying the top US job markets and associated salary ranges for the industry’s most requested professionals. With over 612 million websites and online businesses calling the internet home (as this moment), it’s no wonder that the demand for these professions is so high.
We determined our list of the ten hottest jobs using proprietary data from our nationwide base of hiring clients, including Fortune 500 companies, mid-sized businesses, and leading digital marketing agencies. The professions are listed below:

These professions demonstrate the ongoing need for companies to provide an exceptional website presence, especially in regards to usability, to succeed it today’s market.
“As more and more industries understand the value of maintaining a competitive online presence, and new technologies continue to make it easier for people to get to the web, the need to build and maintain a full staff of digital and creative professionals is becoming a requirement for businesses of all types,” said Ken Clark, president of Onward Search. “Professionals in these areas are ensured plenty of available work in the years to come.”
Information from the salary data showed that the profession with the most earning potential was “information architect” with a median earning potential in the US of $99,000 as obtained from Indeed.com. Top paying markets included San Jose, CA, New York, NY, and San Francisco, CA. New York, NY also dominated the open jobs front, ranking as the number one location for job availability for each of the ten professions on the list, based on the volume of job postings as seen on SimplyHired.com. San Francisco, CA, Seattle, WA, Chicago, IL, Atlanta, GA, and Boston, MA proved to be strong hubs for digital creative jobs as well.
